Welcome!
Welcome to the Edinburgh and Lothians Hearing Support group website. The group is open to all – whether or not you use hearing aids – and offers a range of support services and the chance to meet other people with hearing loss, just like you. Members receive:
- A friendly, supportive environment to share experiences and connect with others living with hearing loss;
- information, advice and guidance on all hearing-related topics;
- social activities including: outings and visits to cultural venues, walks in the city or countryside, workshops and courses and activities suggested by members.
– all with communications support for those with hearing loss.
Take the test!
If you’re unsure about your hearing, the RNID have devised a three-minute hearing checkwhich will give you some indication of your hearing loss. It’s free and only takes three minutes. Click on the QR code below or go to the RNID website: rnid.org.uk.
If hearing loss is indicated, you’re advised to arrange a full hearing test with the NHS or a private audiologist, both of which are free and without obligation.
